Pagan and Nature Centered Religion Beliefs

1.  Direct personal contact with female as well as masculine, deities.

2.  No body and soul dualism.  The body is as sacred and honored as the soul and neither is accorded a higher destination than the other.

3.  Views nature as sacred.  Nature is not inferior to man nor for his subjugation.  The value of all forms of life are equal.

4.  Value of the individual will. There is no guilt attached to asserting one’s will and to calling upon deities for aid.

5.  Spiraling notions of time. Time is circular and repetitive, not linear.  We do not progress to a judgment day of euphoria or catastrophe.

6.  Cyclic notions of bodily growth and decay.  The body’s growth and decay is accepted as inevitable and not depressing.

7.  No original sin.  There is no concept of an original sin committed by our ancestors; and hence, no separation from deity.

8.  No division of good and evil.

9.  Absence of a sacred text.  A variety of beliefs is encouraged.

10. No ridged law of discipline.

11. Sex does not need elaborate restrictions.

12. Play.  Rituals have fun.  Jokes are encouraged.

13. Honors the mystical and personal experience of the sacred.  Encourages psychic development.
